In 1997, askTeleVision realized the first LIVE broadcast of an expedition for ARD Morgenmagazin. Martin Gremmelspacher accompanied the expedition “on foot through Tibet” as a cameraman and producer.
In 2002, in cooperation with askTeleVision, the first LIVE broadcast of a Himalayan mountaineering followed. The ARD morning magazine broadcast daily and reported on the difficult ascent of the Ama Dablam (6858m) by Hans Kammerlander and his team.
This LIVE broadcast had the highest audience rating for ARD Morgenmagazin till today and was so spectacular that the Intel SAT headquarters in Washington also expressed its appreciation.
